About Me

My name is Will Prentice and I am a young music producer in the city of Melbourne. From a young age I always loved music, especially older artists like The Beatles, Oasis, Queen and more. My most important early musical influence for me was learning how to play guitar. This led me to start writing songs, and eventually learning how to record and mix them when I was a late teenager. After making a couple of releases of my own music, I decided I really wanted to take my production skills to the next level and started studying my bachelors in music production at College of the Arts (Collarts) in early 2023. After finishing my degree in May of 2025, I gained an exponential amount of hands on experience and in depth learning about all aspects of the production process that allowed me to flourish more as a producer. To this day, I have collaborated with many different producers/musicians, worked for multiple bands, and worked on a wide variety of different projects. Some of my favourite work to do currently is to mix and record for other smaller artists to help their songs reach the commercial standard they need to meet.

Mission

Melbourne and the music scene in general has an overwhelming amount of new talent and music that is constantly emerging and yet to be discovered. Many of these artists are looking to have their music produced to a professional, release ready standard but can feel they lack the means to accomplish this by themselves alone. This is where I strive to help artists have their music produced and sound as refined possible, and meet their needs, whilst also sounding as good as it possibly can upon release.

Vision

As a producer, my role is to assist the artists I work with in making their music sound better than they could ever achieve alone. My vision is not only to produce their music so that it complies with release ready standards to share with the world, but to ensure that when the world hears it, it is something that sounds well made and professionally produced and to portray the artists music, and themselves, in the best way possible.
